Going from 1 to 2 to 3 then back to 2 / if it's got wheels you're gonna have trouble
cars. what a hassle. I'm 100% sure that back in the day B4 cars, life was much simpler! I mean, they're a hassle to buy, they're a hassle to run, they're a hassle to keep running and they're a hassle to get rid of. But these days, especially living out in the country/mountains, you need them. when I got married I suddenly acquired another one and because RC was selling his at a ridiculously good price, 2 became 3.
If insurance was free, or not compulsory, we would have kept all 3, but paying for things you don't use is just a hassle (have I used that word already?) and a waste. so we endeavoured to sell some of them (both cars we originally owned before acquiring this new one). evidently in "modern" countries, you need a rego check before you can sell a vehicle, so we put the Clio through... and it needed some work done on it to pass. To cut a (very) long story short, some friends of mine were keen to buy it (which was good, even though selling a car to friends or family is not a good idea...), so even though it was going to cost a bundle we went ahead and got the suspension done.
Because of different reasons, one of which being my "laisser-faire" attitude and mis-communication with the mechanic, we ended up having to get the work done twice (hassle all round). so in the end we sold it for 500€, having had almost 400€ worth of work done. hassle. at least it's out of our hands now and we're down to 2. Now, about selling the other one...
