Washing is throwing away.

So we had a wee problem with the toilet block. Well, it was more like a poo problem… anyhoo, 3 out of 4 toilets got blocked big time. after many trials with the plunger we tried different methods, including high pressure air and water…from both ends (RC and I were out in the snow and cold, at night, trying to push and suck the blockage out both from the entrance and exit ends…thankfully the -10 degrees freezes smells pretty good as well).

I even took the toilet off the hole and got drenched in…well, you understand. I then used the vacuum cleaner to clean the crap out of the bathroom and get rid of all the brown water. Still no breakthrough.

Anyway, I decided to wash my clothes and shoes real good, at 90 degrees. Note for later, shoe-glue doesn’t stand those kind of temperatures: my vibram soles approach shoes are now in 4 definite parts: sole, rubber filler, inner-soles and uppers. They look like they’re ready to be assembled…

Who? Champions of what? When?!

It appears that big balls are what get media attention (in France at least, as in Aussie land it’s oval balls that get the spotlight). France just won the handball world championships, held in Croatia (beating Croatia 24-19 in the final, which was the only game that was televised on free TV). The thing that gets me is that France isn’t just a national team that plays handball, they’re one of the best teams in the world and have been for the last 10 years or so. They recently won the euro cup and then the Olympic games, and yet most people didn’t even know there was a world championship going on and that France was in it (and kicking butt!). Evidently Handball is not soccer, but could the media show it SOME respect?...
