so we bought a dvd player (we being Tom, doorbell and myself) for use in our house (since it cost 50 bucks which works out at a buck a week!!!).
i purchased my first dvd "scream of stone" (which is the translation for Cerro Torre, one of the hardest mountains in the world to climb). in 2 words it sucks. the climbing footage was ok but the story and acting was apalling!!! so don't bother....i'm glad it only cost $2.98...which is why i bought it in the first place (plus it featured one of aussie's most famous climbs in it as well).

25 minutes...
is the time it took me to get from my door to the beach on my bike thanks to the slipstream of a kind truck (the usual time is 35 if you're cookin!)... i was still fairly stuffed on my way back home though!
on that note i just realised that (while complaining about having to service and replace some parts of my bike) i'm saving about $1000 a year just in fuel (without rego, insurance and services...), so i suddenly didn't feel so bad!

the surf was unreal today...but we were walking (which was fantastic) so we just enjoyed watching good surfers get down on it!

dave smyth is comin to australia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bring it on! wow, a great bloke from norn iron in my home country! fantastic, i hope it starts a trend... :)

...on other news the house i currently live in (SGR) has sold and so i'll be homeless by Christmas... but i'm not really worried at all, nor do i have time to be, as life is busy as always... especially since i've been teachin full time and will be for the next few weeks (and also next year), which is kinda scary but look forward to it.

so what's been happening lately??
well i went to see my parents and nomanadam up in b-e-a-utiful burleigh heads, wow! Heather and i went up, dropped into her parents' on the way up, then up the coast to b' heads. great surf and fantastic to catch up with my family (and meet heather's properly and have her hang out a little more with mine). a great time, plus we dropped in on my uncle and auntie and g-ma in evans and i also enjoyed a great surf there (very therapeutic!!!!)...

so i know it's been a while but that will all change now... i just bought a computer!!!! of the notebook kind, a dell inspiron 700m to be exact. so there you go, this will enable me to work at home or at school, and of course update my blog, woohoo! :)
