Fantastic time with my Church family over the easter long week end. We went up to Barington and camped by the river for a few days. Nothing on the program but drifting down the river on air mats, eating, sittin’ round doin’ nottin, games of footy, soccer, eatin, chattin, swimming in freezing cold water, eating and making huge fires for cooking and pleasure sake. We also had a great get together on Sunday morning to celebrate our saviour’s life, death and resurrection. A great time. My cous jono also got baptized in da freezing river, which was fantastic.
The easter bunny also popped in and, as rabbits do, left some droppings… what a great time, bring on next year!!

So we were playing footy (rugby, for those in more northern countries) at easter camp (see post below for explanations on what easter camp is) with da boys (and some girls). We were going pretty hard, both young and old, with big hits. Having heaps of fun and just about to quit, as we were all stuffed and ready for a swim, Bake hit up Jono and being bigger than him was pushing him back, so I went for a helping tackle. I bolted for Bake. as I was ready to push him over he must have moved his head back or I misjudged my step and I ended up hitting his head with my nose…and a mighty crack. Pain. I ran to the water knowing it was broken. I spent the next five minutes in the water washing the flow of blood away. It was numb and felt like I had a blocked nose. Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo disgusting! It kept dripping blood til bed time until it cacked…thankfully it was a straight hit and wasn’t crooked. it’s now still a little swollen and sore and makes that funny noise like charlie’s! J

so because tom was away for 6 weeks and the bills are in his name, when he got back from prac (in coffs) a few days ago, he opened a letter saying that our phone would be cut off unless we paid up ASAP. This was dated the 8th march…it was now the 20th… so the next day I called and paid by credit card over da phone. That night I got home and found out that they had cut us off that day! Bum! So I guess they got the payment too late! I rang again to get the phone back on (obviously from another phone…) and they said they couldn’t talk to me cause I wasn’t tom… I tell you what! “tell it to the hand”…more to come as the case unfolds…

Cause my chain was slipping as soon as I put pressure on it (which is not enjoyable!!) I took it into the shop to see what the craic was…jared laughed as he measured the chain with his tool “in bike terms we call this stuffed”. So I ordered a new chain, cassette and middle chain ring + tools and lube from www.phantomcycles.com.au (aussie’s biggest little bike shop) for a very good price. My bike now feels like a new one…well almost! The thing is, as I was taking it apart I noticed that the cluster was a little loose, which may have been the cause of my chain slipping…anyway, it all needed replacing… Bring on the trails!!!! (and my riding to work will be enjoyable again!)

as it wass kinda ssurreal, a ssnake longer than me only a foot away
from me. the boy i wass taking to hiss room almosst walked on it sso
i ssent him back insside cassually (he wass too trashed* to notice).
i told the other teacherss and they kept the kidss bussy while i got
a broom...i walked around it (causse you don't get in their esscape
path) and, knowing it woudln't be aggresssssive, pushed it'ssss tail
gently...it curved and hissssssed at me, then ssslowly sssstarted
moving away and up the clossssest tree...which was all good but that
meant it was head hight...thankfully it rolled up and didn't move, so
no kid saw it...what a beauty mate!
