RIP IR 300.

My great wee camera, which has helped me bring home memories of things great and small overt the last few years, gave up a few weeks ago on a multi-pitch climb. I was on a belay ledge and sat on it. Unfortunately the cliff edge broke the button that is used to take the pictures. What’s even more unfortunate is that the rest works fine, but the button, being plastic and broken, won’t go back on.

Thanks to Michele, who was coming over from the states for adult English camp and the US$ being so low, I was able to score a wee bargain and get a camera that has the same battery and card as the IR. The beauty of the new one (Olympus Stylus) is that it’s shock proof and (shallow)water proof…
