Glenrock in the afternoon sun…

I guess there’s not much more to add. If you know what it feels like to ride the sensational trails of Glenrock on a warm autumn afternoon with a bunch of mates, then you know exactly what I’m talking about! If you don’t know then I can’t really explain…still, it went something like this:

On this occasion it was James on his plush Jamis Dakar XC comp (what a smoooooth ride!), Monkie on my old silver NRS (that bike was built for Glenrock!!!), another mate on his more freeride angled Trance (which, thankfully, managed to slow him down on the uphills) and myself on the ol’ blue Merida hardtail (with shot forks and slicks).

It was amazing to ride Glenrock again, as it’s an amazing part of the world: great tracks (both up and down), great location (in the heart of Newcastle) and absolutely breathtaking scenery (overlooking the city on one side and beach on the other). It was fantastic to catch up with some friends in this way and in such a setting. Also great to see and increase in the skills, keenness and fitness of these 3 lads, which is an added bonus! So thanks fellas! I really loved those moments spent with you guys on the trails, especially cause I dunno if we’ll get another chance to do it again B4 I depart from the country…always a pleasure and despite riding the same tracks, it’s never the same!

That was fantastic.

The fact that we could've ridden a lot further in the amount of time we were there allowed for a great time to catch up.

Increased skills and fitness? You were definitely riding in front of me then!

If we don't get to do that again before you head back French-side there will be tears.

Au revoir

Man my French is good.
