One thing you could do with more of but that’s impossible…

So the other night we had a large dinner at a friend’s family’s place. The food was amazing and plentiful, the conversation excellent and the company succulent. About half way through the night, Philippe, the man of the house, asked us all to introduce ourselves and to comment on a wish we had for the year/the future. Many of the 18 or so people there mentioned that they’d like to have more time for this or more time to do that.

And that’s the thing: you can never have MORE TIME. Everyone has the same amount of it and no matter what you do or don’t do, you can’t increase it.

Evidently I totally understand what these friends were wishing: being able to find a better balance of their time. I guess it hit me that I often wish I had more time for this or that, and that should be a sign that tells me to reassess how I SPEND my (and others’) time…

Wise words my friend...also good to reassess now and again

You rock weeksi. That's one of those silly things everyone (including me) says to avoid saying what we need to say-- that we need to reprioritize and drop some things. Thanks for making me see that.
