love.
love is weird, or should i say strange...maybe i mean intricate.
anyway, it's fascinating. what's weird is that the term "love" is
loosely used for a whole array of different things, both good and bad.
i guess i'm thinking about the different meanings of love, having just
bee to Ben [mojo] and Alyson's wedding (which was great!). it was
great to see mojo again and meet the woman he loves. evidently "loves"
takes on a whole new meaning when you commit to someone in that way,
and i want to commend them for taking on that responsibility.
as for me, i love Norn Iron, i love the smell of peat burning in a
fire place, i love my friends who live here and i love spending time
here.
do we sometimes use the term "love" a bit lightly? i mean, should i
only use "love" for people or places or things i really, really like?
i dunno. what i do know, however, is that "love is lovely and lovely
is love..." (Mike McCarthy).

Comments:
I suppose it’s often shorthand for “you make me feel good” …maybe love is strongest when the feeling is low but the committment is high [Jesus can’t have felt very warm about what he had to do, but…].

Mervanovich! profound as always! i guess if you replace the "you" by "it" (whatever "it" may be), then that might be getting close to what it means? so the feeling might be low, but knowing the positive outcome would bring on a "it makes me feel goo" (to know what the outcome will be), which would then bring on a strong commitment... hum, thanks exercising my brain!
