Sand, crashing waves, wind, sunset, full moon, warm weather, friends, snacks, shipwrecks, 4WD tracks, 33km.

It all started when I told a mate I wanted to walk from Anna Bay to Stockton one day. “do it at night” he said. And so it was planned for the first full moon of the year.

8 of us set out from Anna bay at 7:15pm on Wednesday 3rd Jan and got to Stockton, 33kms away, 7hrs and 5 minutes later. the original plan was to see the sunrise, but due to the early/late hour (2:30am) we did the car shuffle and went to bed.

Twas a good walk, amazing scenery, good conversations and the sand was mainly hard. Obvisouly the ol’ muscles were a bit sore the next day! If you live round here I recommend you do it it’s well worth it!
