Last week I went to Jerusalem Bay (on the Hawksbury river, 2kms walk from Cowan train station) with a group of friends for some bouldering, swimming and cliff jumping. A beautiful day in a beautiful spot. I think I’ve talked about this already, but it’s a cliff above an inlet. The water is warm and clear-ish, the cliff is climbable in parts and the rock ledge makes a great jumping platform. To get to it you walk down a bush track then wade across (shark infested) chest-deep waters. The water below the cliff is who-knows-how-deep and the climbing is very challenging. A great spot to hang out…but don’t forget the sunscreen!
