So cool!

Knowing Le Tour de France was going from Gap to l’Alpe d’Huez (the area I’ll be living in next year), I stayed up and watched the whole thing last night. It was a great battle, up and down the mountains, but what was really amazing was to see places I’d walked, driven, ridden and climbed, on TV. Strangest of all was when the riders rode past a road leading up to the Camp des Cimes, at the bottom of which a group of young people (from camp) was gathered. Obviously the finish at the top of l’Alpe d’Huez (after 15kms of climbing) is not the most famous part of the Tour for no reason! We thought Cadel Evans might take it out but he didn’t have the stamina. I hope he gets some time back over the next few days…
