Good bye and thanks for the journey…

After years of great service in both the hot and cold areas of drinkables, MY FAVOURITE CUP has finally thrown the towel in. While I started using it when I moved back to Australia in 1995, it only really became “my cup” when I moved to the birm and started uni in 1998. I kinda forgot about it briefly for 2 years while I was living in norn iron, but it reappeared in 2004 when the birm was “disbanded”. It has been MY cup ever since, offering unparalleled service due to its solid and stable design and content carrying capabilities. Looking for a drinking vessel this morning in which to have some juice then tea in (which I never did, since I only ever picked MY CUP) proved to be flabbergastering due to the inadequate substitutes on offer.

Comments:
The days of the Birm - gone now forever - the legacies that remained also now diminishing...

i'm sure you did at some stage...most people who came through the birm used it. having almost been a "legal" resident you are bound to have! :)

Ah, the old cup. Even I was afraid of touching that thing. Like mother's good tea-pot. Rest in Peace, Beak's cup.
