I ran to soccer last week and had to walk home due to what felt like a pulled calf muscle. I went for a big 3hr ride the following day with 27 other keen mountainbikers (it looked unreal, such a huge group!) and it was ok. All last week I’ve felt it but it’s been fine. i went out for a quick beep test (shuttle run test) down to the park (MP3 format on the shuffle) before home group last night. It could feel it and it wasn’t comfortable, and I was wondering if it was gonna warm up and get better or whether I should stop when “twang!”. So I stopped and walked/hopped home. I iced it up and kept it elevated as much as possible. Riding to work this morn was fine (thankfully) but walking is awkward and running is out of the question for now…I guess I’ll try resting it a little longer this time!
