Another great easter celebration was had by all at the “barrington resort” (a farmer’s green field complete with cows, a river, cold cold spas, rocks, trees, cow pats and good times). About 40 people from my Church camped there over the long week-end, spending time together doin nottin, eating, cruising down the river on air beds, swimming in the cold cold “mountain” stream, chillin beside the fire, eating, sleeping, playing ultimate Frisbee, building huge fires, eating chocolates and most importantly remembering Jesus’ death and resurrection. It was great to turf the watch, eat when you’re hungry, sleep whenever, chat and hang out with people from age 1 to age 75. a real relaxing and meaningful time. As a new experiment for this year we tried to cook our food in a hungie (dig hole, huge fire inside, rocks, meat, bark, cover with dirt, wait 5 hours…). The kangaroo roast was a real hit, but nothing else really cooked…next year we’ll try a spit roast!
