Just like spinkwee river…

We (tom, doorbell and bec) went to the soccer (football) Friday night to see the local Jets take on Adelaide. Soccer’s not really had that many spectators and is a lot less popular that footy (rugby league), but there were still 10 thousand people there. We got free tickets, which was even better. We were sitting 2 rows from the field, in line with the 18yd line. The game was pretty good, a good show and exciting, though the locals went down 2-1 in the end.

The reason it reminded me of a certain birthday celebration at spinkwee river in the mourne mtns in norn iron, is cause of the weather. It rained, and rained and rained. So we were sitting, soaked and loving it, enjoying the show, the food and each other’s company. It was unreal, we were soaked but warm (wearing some waterproofs) but still just sat there and hang out. Love it!

yeah...i would agree with that! we'll have to do it again sometime :)

ah yeas I remember that night to0, a wee little lepicon stumbling through the darkness, battling the elements wind blown and soaked to the bottom of his felt green boots, to grace you with the holy water (Guinness) and some divine sustenance (Pringles and Snickers) ah that we might have more interventions like these.
