What a storm!

If you were in the Newcastle area (the Australian Newcastle that is…) last night you would have enjoyed a cracker! I went to bed bout 9:45pm, it was a nice temperature, gentle breeze, slight spitting rain (it had been trying for a few hours)…lovely weather to go to sleep to… at about sometime in the middle of the night (it was dark and I had been asleep) I got woken up by huge bolts of lightning, grumbling thunder and torrential rain. Love it. I woke up and enjoyed it, drifting in and out of sleep every time the rain got super heavy or when the thunder cam in my room through my open window. All I could do was smile and thank God I had a good shelter and a comfortable bed!
