Mont 24hr 2004.
over 2 n a half thousand people taking part, 550 riders on the 20km track at one time, hills, dust, trees, rocks...and the same at night!! i was part of a 4 man team (competing against 95 other 4 man teams) and started the race with an 800m run, stacking it over other runners and getting walked on, eventually getting to my bike with only about 50 guys in front of me!
the track was grueling but fun, and both the night and day laps were enjoyable and painful! thanks to the support of the team and lovely heather all went well!
result: 23rd in our category and 75th all up (out of 550 teams!). as usual i said i'd never do it again (during one of my night laps)...but i'll prob have forgotten the pain by next year...bring it on! a great time.
