raunch-o-rama
i thought the matrix was a classy show. certainly back when it came out it was ground (and mind!!) breaking stuff.
the second one was still great, with more fight scenes, camera angles, tricks, animation and "bullet time" photography than ever before. but why, WHY did they include 5 minutes of sex and raunchy dancing?
was the sex to show their intimacy? was it to show they were "in touch" both mentally and physically, was it to show that they felt what the other was feeling? dunno. in any case they could've done things a lot more implicitly, cut out 3 minutes of dragged-out-uselesness and kept it classy.
while the dancing was pretty cool, it very quickly turned into a very raunchy scene as well. once again in my opinion cutting this scene down would not have been detrimental, in fact it would've made the sequel much more enjoyable.
still, bring on "revolutions" in november i think?
